Ben's Dream White Sox win MABL championship

Ben's Dream White Sox - 2013 MABL Champions

The No. 1-seeded Ben's Dream White Sox took home the 2013 MABL 18+ Championship, defeating the Cambridge Spinners three games to one in the best-of-five MABL Championship Series.

The White Sox' top-ranked offense showed up early and often in Game 4, scoring two runs in the first and never looking back, en route to an 11-1 victory and the 2013 MABL title.

Justin Real broke the game open with a clutch 2-out hit, while the 2013 Rookie of the Year Jhiomar Veras hit his second 2-run HR at St Peter's Field on the season.

Alex Weldon earned his second complete-game win of the series, allowing just one earned run on six hits to go along with 7 K's in a seven-inning, complete-game effort.

The White Sox finished the 2013 regular season with a league-best 18-5-1 record, and ranked first in nearly every offensive category including Average (.345), Runs (179), Hits (240), RBI's (146), Doubles (43), OBP (.428), SLG (.446), and OPS (.874).

Congratulations to Matt O'Hara and the White Sox on winning the 2013 MABL Championship, and hats off to the runner-up Spinners on a fine season.
