Bombers repeat as MSBL 28+ NL champs

2016 MSBL 28+ National League Champions - Boston Bombers

The Boston Bombers (20-3-1) are the MSBL 28+ NL champions for a second straight season, following a three-game sweep of the Waltham Braves (17-6-1) in the best-of-five championship series.

The top-seeded Bombers defeated the No. 2-seeded Braves by scores of 6-0, 10-5, and 8-2 to claim back-to-back MSBL 28+ NL titles.

Mike Maguire fueled the Bombers offense in the postseason, going 12-for-21 (.571) with two home runs, two doubles, and eight RBIs, while Sean Sullivan (2-0, 14 IP, 6 H, 9 K, 0.00 ERA) led the pitching staff with a 2-0 record, 0.00 ERA, and nine strikeouts in 14 innings.

Congratulations to the Boston Bombers on winning the 2016 MSBL 28+ NL title and repeating as champions, and hats off to the runner-up Waltham Braves on a great season.
